Eustachian Tube Dysfunction
If you’re here, you’re likely still dealing with the same symptoms, despite trying everything you’ve been told.
You’ve probably tried sprays, medication, or exercises, and expected it to improve… but it hasn’t. Instead, you’re left confused, with no real answers and no clear direction on what to do next.
For years I dealt with this myself, trying to manage symptoms that never fully went away. The constant pressure, dizziness, fatigue, it takes over more than you’d expect. You’re aware of it all the time, even during normal everyday things like noise or conversations.
What made it worse was not understanding it. Nothing I was being told fully explained why it was happening, or why it wasn’t improving. After a while, I started questioning if this was just something I’d have to live with.
I didn’t understand it at the time, but things started to point in a different direction. I began to realise it might not just be “ETD” on its own, but something influenced by other things going on in the body. I started noticing patterns and triggers that made more sense of what I was experiencing.
I realised there was more to it than what I’d been told, and that’s what led me to put this together. Not just what it is, but what might actually be behind it, and why so many people end up stuck in the same place, going round in circles without real answers.
You might be dealing with this if:
- Your ears feel blocked or full most of the time
- Symptoms change or come and go without a clear reason
- You’ve tried sprays, medication or exercises with little change
- You’ve been told it’s “just ETD” but it doesn’t fully explain it
- You feel like you’re going round in circles with no real answers
This is where it starts to get confusing, because none of it is ever really explained properly.
What is the Eustachian Tube?
The Eustachian tube connects the middle ear to the back of the nose and helps regulate pressure and drainage.
When it becomes blocked or doesn’t open properly, pressure can build up and fluid may not drain as it should. This is what leads to many of the symptoms people with ETD experience.
My journey and help guide
It’s everything I wish I had understood earlier.
This guide brings together the patterns I noticed, the possible causes behind it, and the things that actually made a difference.
It’s not just about what it is, but why it keeps happening and what might be behind it.
